Does artwork dictate the design or is it the other way around? What does an ideal collaboration between designers and artists look like? What are current trends emerging in design as it relates to art? How do designers find artwork/artists and how do artists connect with designers?
These are just a few of the questions we'll banter about in this first of a new art+design Salon Series on June 1 at 6:30 pm in the magical setting of StudioLab RD, a unique artist studio-creative hub nestled in one of the historic row houses of Georgetown, Washington DC.
Created and moderated by StudioLab RD founder, proprietor and artist Robin Davisson and DMV designer Julie Geyer, this Salon Series is part of Robin's new efforts to build community and connection in Washington, DC and beyond through intimate, searching conversation that connects the dots between sometimes seemingly disconnected realms.
With a unique alchemy of thoughtfully curated guests/topics, a warm and lowkey setting perfect for people to really listen to each other, and un-fussy food/drink, the Series promises to be stirring, spirited and surprising. We hope you'll join us!
Hosts/Moderators:
Robin Davisson — Abstract Artist, Owner of StudioLab
